The Empire of Light is an installation that explores the shifting boundary between the natural and artificial in urban environments. A video captures the shadow of a tree during daylight, inverts its colors, and projects it back onto the same position at night. Drawing from René Magritte’s The Empire of Light series, the work considers the interplay of light, nature, and artificiality within the urban landscape.
